Next Architecture Transcends Microservices
Constellation attended SAP Hybris’ 12th user conference, SAP Hybris Live, held in Barcelona, October 16–19, 2017, at the Fira Barcelona. The event boasted more than 3,300 attendees and marked the first time SAP Hybris held its global user conference outside of Germany. In addition, SAP Hybris celebrated its 20th anniversary. Partner interest was good. The show floor was well-designed and attractive, similar to the Sapphire experience.
SAP Hybris showed progress across its architecture and platform and how the company is rethinking the SAP Hybris as a Service (YaaS) approach. Moreover, this report shows how SAP Hybris is deepening the SAP Hybris Profile abilities and describes its virtual assistant, Charly (currently in beta).
This event report gives our first insights into the architecture and platform advances, commenting on both the direction and progress of SAP Hybris, with an eye on the broader SAP platform strategy.
