Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

The Quick Version

Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. We do expect heated debate and passionate exchanges about ideas.  We also expect our guests to check their politics at the door as we have a wide and diverse set of opinons at the conference.

Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

The Less Quick Version

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded clothing and/or badges.

We do expect heated debate and passionate exchanges about ideas.  We also expect our guests to check their politics at the door as we have a wide and diverse set of opinons at the conference.

Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.

We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.

Covid-19 Protocols

 

Due to Covid-19, Constellation Research is instituting several guidelines and procedures to safeguard and promote the safety of our valued participants.  In this regard, we are requiring your commitment to follow our safety protocols for your safety as well as the safety of all the other participants.  By registering, you are hereby consenting and agreeing (I) to folow these policies and procedures, (II) that you understand and agree that if you intentionally or materially refuse to comply with these policies and procedures, you will be required to depart Connected Enterprise, and (III) you are travleing to and participating in the Connected Enterprise event at your own risk.  You furtherconsent to and agree that while participating in Connected Enterprise, you will:

1.       Not attend Connected Enterprise if you are feeling ill, have a fever, cough, are experiencing common cold and/or flu symptoms, believe that you may have been exposed to a person diagnosed with Covid-19 or if you have been diagnosed with Covid-19.

2.       Be prepared to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid Test (no older than 3 days) upon arrival.  Those without this information may not be permitted into the conference.

3.       Use common sense and courtesy by using tissue or other covering when coughing or sneezing.

4.       Comply with all directives, rules and regulations for the State of California, City of Half Moon Bay in which Connected Enterprise is located.

We will ask you to agree and consent to the above as a requirement to your registration and participation in Connected Enterprise as well as assume all risks inherent to exposure to the Covid-19 virus relating to the event.
