Bio

Sunny Kim is Corporate Vice President of Samsung Electronics where he leads the Korea HQ office of Global Innovation Center (GIC). Sunny is a founder of GIC and his current focus includes driving IoT business at Samsung. Sunny oversees HQ collaboration and globalization of SmartThings, a leading IoT Smarthome company that GIC acquired 1.5 years ago. Sunny has worked at Samsung Electronics for over 12 years, where he has held various positions across innovation, strategic planning, sales and operations. Before joining Samsung, Sunny had successful career as product manager and consultant at various companies in the Silicon Valley and NY (Oracle, PWC, etc). Sunny has MBA from Kellogg School of Management as well as a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech.
