Gail Horwood is the Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of Novartis US Pharma. Her background in digital and data transformation and translating rich and nuanced customer understanding to fuel meaningful behavior change is accelerating the Novartis ambition to reach twice as many patients, twice as fast. Prior to Novartis, Gail was the Chief Marketing Officer of Kellogg North America, leading marketing transformation and the brand-building and planning functions. She oversaw all aspects of the consumer experience including media, digital, design, retail promotion and shopper marketing and managed the agency and partner ecosystem. Gail started her career in healthcare as Vice President of Worldwide Digital Strategy at Johnson and Johnson Consumer Healthcare. In that role, she led digital transformation and was responsible for marketing capability development and acceleration, digital and social media activation, marketing technology and analytics, data and e‐commerce. Gail has held executive creative and digital/e‐commerce roles at Martha Stewart Living, Time Inc., Condé Nast and Zagat Survey. She was a founder and editor‐in‐chief of the award-winning food site, Epicurious. Gail holds an BA in art history from Colby College.
