Dana Marineau is chief marketing officer at Rakuten where she’s responsible for elevating the brand and evolving Rakuten into a first-stop shopping destination. Dana oversees teams driving brand, creative, member growth, public relations, marketing analytics, and strategic partnerships.
Upon joining Rakuten, Dana built an in-house marketing team that independently produced and executed the company’s inaugural Super Bowl ad campaign, "High Stakes" featuring Hannah Waddingham, and subsequent Super Bowl spot, the incredibly successful "Not So Clueless" starring Alicia Silverstone. This fan-favorite campaign captured widespread attention and acclaim and exceeded all performance metrics, leading to a substantial boost in brand awareness, site visits, new member sign-ups, and first-time sales. Additionally, Dana achieved high-profile milestones in 2023 through dynamic partnerships with New York Fashion Week, Black In Fashion Council, designer Christian Siriano, Khloe Kardashian, the Golden State Warriors, and NBA star Stephen Curry.
Dana is passionate about fostering a positive work culture, as well as creating innovative and inspirational marketing campaigns. This has led to numerous team honors throughout her career, including 11 Cannes Lions, 13 Effies, and 11 Clios.
