Aaron Miri is Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Information Officer at Baptist Health, where he leads the strategic technology vision and oversees the implementation and adoption of digital solutions that enhance patient-focused care. His team is committed to humanising technology to support integration, optimisation, and innovation across the health system. With 25+ years of experience in healthcare and technology, Dr. Miri is a recognised thought leader in digital health. He actively contributes to national discussions on interoperability, IT innovation, and care delivery improvement through his involvement in leading health IT organisations. Since joining Baptist Health in 2021, he has led a systemwide EMR transition to Epic, boosting providers’ ability to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care. He champions the development of a learning health system and the use of advanced analytics to improve outcomes and population health. 

Previously, Dr. Miri held leadership roles including CIO of The University of Texas at Austin’s Dell Medical School and UT Health Austin, CIO at Imprivata, and CTO at Children’s Health System of Texas. His leadership has earned him numerous accolades, including Becker’s 2024 “CIOs to Know,” the 2024 Florida CIO ORBIE award, and CHIME’s 2020 Healthcare Hero Award. He serves on the CHIME Board of Trustees and was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Cybersecurity Advisory Council in 2023. 

Nationally, Dr. Miri has held federal advisory roles under both the Obama and Trump administrations, including co-chairing the HHS Health IT Advisory Committee. He is also an advisor to the National Academy of Medicine and supports various not-for-profit boards. Dr. Miri holds a Doctor of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, an MBA from the University of Dallas, and a BS in Management Information Systems from UT Arlington.
