Jay is currently EVP, Chief Information & Technology Officer for ERT, a global data and technology company that minimizes risk and uncertainty in clinical trials, so that organizations can move ahead quickly – and with confidence. Prior to ERT, Jay was Chief Information Officer for The Quikrete Companies, the largest manufacturer of packaged concrete and cement mixes in North America; Chief Customer Officer for Rackspace, Inc, a global managed hosting and cloud provider; Chief Information & Technology Officer for TransPerfect, a global translation services organization; and EVP, Chief Information & Product Officer for EarthLink, a leading provider of network communications and managed services.

From 2012-2016, Jay was Global Chief Information Officer for the American Cancer Society, a worldwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Jay led ACS’s historic digital transformation, as well as the consolidation of 12 independent companies into one global entity.

Jay spent the previous eight years at American International Group (AIG), most recently as VP and CIO for AIG Aerospace & AIG Personal Lines. Jay also served as CFO for AIG Operations and Systems, leading multiple international synergy initiatives.

Jay is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer around the world. He has been featured in multiple publications, including Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, and CIO Magazine. Jay has been highlighted in a number of books, including Digital Transformation (Herbert, L, 2017). In recognition of his accomplishments, Jay was selected as Georgia CIO of the Year in both 2011 and 2015, Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader in 2015, CIO Magazine CIO 100 in 2015 and Global CIO Breakaway Leader in 2013.

His commitment and dedication to giving back to the community is evidenced by the time and energy he contributes. In 2007, he founded the nonprofit group, Priscilla’s Promise, in honor of his late wife. Jay has been elected to multiple boards, including TechBridge and InspirEdu.

Jay earned both his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Georgia and lives in Atlanta with his three sons.
