“Infostructure” = Information Infrastructure
Data is the next utility, as important to society today as clean water or stable electricity. As citizens rely more and more on data, they require safety, reliability, accuracy, and integrity. “Infostructure” is less tangible than traditional infrastructure. We are starting to see what it looks like, as a blend of rules & legislation, digital literacy, next generation cloud platforms, and mobile technologies.
This talk will explain Steve’s current research on infostructure, and look at important contemporary initiatives including verifiable credentials, the mass media Coalition for Content provenance & Authenticity (C2PA) and the Global Assured Identity Network (GAIN).
