Patel is responsible for Healthcare and Life Sciences business for Persistent Systems. As a General Manager, Rahul leads cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, R&D, professional services and business development focusing on Healthcare and Life Sciences area. Rahul also manages several strategic relationships including a joint venture with Partners Healthcare. Prior to joining Persistent Patel has held leadership positions at large software companies and founded and built startups as well. His journey spans from Genwi - a mobile startup, Oracle Corp, BEA Systems, Versata - a business rules startup, Sybase and Sun Microsystems. Through this career he has built and delivered multiple successful product businesses leading all the functions from initial inception to R&D to Sales and Marketing to eventual customer value creation post deployments.
Patel received a masterʼs degree in computer science and database management from The University of Florida; and a bachelorʼs degree in electronics and communications from Gujarat University, India.
