Kari serves as Corporate Secretary for The Cigna Group. As Chief Counsel, she leads the global Employment, Benefits and Compensation Law team, Legal Operations & Shared Services team and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team.
Kari's team is responsible for all legal matters relating to The Cigna Group's HR policies, programs, and procedures for its over 70,000+ employees worldwide. She is also responsible for optimizing and achieving maximum efficiency within the Legal Department, and executing The Cigna Group's leading ESG strategy and reporting framework. Kari previously led Cigna's Health Care Reform Consulting and Communications (HCRCC) team, which has received over 30 industry awards.
Before joining The Cigna Group in 2013, Kari practiced law at Blank Rome LLP. Since joining Cigna, Kari has been recognized as a "Lawyer on the Fast Track" by The Legal Intelligencer magazine and received the Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders in Philadelphia. Kari earned her bachelor's in Political Science from Boston College. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law.
