Steve Zerby is currently the vice president and Chief Information Officer of Owens Corning, a world leader in building materials and composite systems and solutions based in Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Zerby leads the Global Information Services (GIS) organization, which includes all Owens Corning information, digital, analytics and advanced manufacturing technology.

Since graduating with a bachelor of business administration in management information systems from Bowling Green State University in 1987, Steve has consistently risen through a broad IT background at three Fortune 500 companies as a leader that builds great teams that deliver business alignment and results.

Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Zerby served as vice president of application delivery and Europe information technology. In this role, he had accountability for systems delivery, project management, web technology, business information and the GIS European team.

Mr. Zerby was recognized by Computerworld as one of the 100 premier IT leaders in the U.S. and has led Owens Corning to receive Computerworld’s 100 best places to work in IT for the consecutive years of 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and in 2019 was named as the #1 Best Place to Work in IT, one of the 25 Global finalists of the Evanta Breakaway Leader CIO Awards in 2014 and the organization was selected as one of the CIO Magazine’s “CIO 100” Award winners in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Steve was named as one of the top 20 US CIO’s by Bold Business in 2019.

Before joining Owens Corning in 2000, Mr. Zerby had 13 years of experience at Marathon Oil Company in Findlay, Ohio, and Houston, Texas; and NCR Corporation in Dayton, Ohio.

Steve also serves as a member of the SAP SuccessFactors CIO Advisory Board, Verizon Business Manufacturing Customer Advisory Board and is a member of the Bowling Green State University College of Business Leadership Board.
