Prior to SQM, Carmen Luz worked as a senior Information Technology Executive at Falabella (major retailer in South America), LATAM Airlines, BHP Billiton, Ericsson and others. She also served as CIO in other industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Media, and Telecommunications.
Carmen Luz is a Civil Engineer with a major in Information System and Computer Science, Diploma in Directing Service Companies, and an MBA. She also participated in the Advanced Management Program at Wharton and was named a Wharton Aresty Scholar in 2019 indicating that she has attended multiple executive education programs at Wharton such as Women's Executive Leadership Program (March 2019) and Analytics for Growth Using Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data (March 2020).
