Carmen Luz drives strategy alignment for IT, Digital, business process solutions and implementation of core business solutions through Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, big data and advanced analytics to deliver competitive advantage for SQM. She has a strong focus on business efficiency, enabling new business models, and redefining the user and client experience by connecting technologies, people, information and processes.

Carmen Luz has more than 24 years of experience in several industries and positions, mainly as CIO, Revenue Management, Innovations & Business Intelligence. Prior to SQM, Carmen Luz worked as a senior Information Technology Executive at Falabella (major retailer in South America), LATAM Airlines, BHP Billiton, Ericsson and others. She also served as CIO in other industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Media, and Telecommunications.

Carmen Luz is a Civil Engineer with a major in Information System and Computer Science, Diploma in Directing Service Companies, and an MBA. She also participated in the Advanced Management Program at Wharton and was named a Wharton Aresty Scholar in 2019 indicating that she has attended multiple executive education programs at Wharton such as Women's Executive Leadership Program (March 2019) and Analytics for Growth Using Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data (March 2020).
