Mr. McCorey is Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer for Universal Parks and Resorts. 

Mr. McCorey is responsible for the Parks Technology teams in Orlando, Hollywood, Osaka and Beijing. Bill is leading the Digital Transformation across all Parks. He joined Universal Orlando in November 2010.

Previously, Mr. McCorey served as Vice President Global Infrastructure for IBM and 17 years at Circuit City Stores with his last role being Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.  Bill graduated from West Virginia State College in 1982 with a degree in Accounting. He has spent the bulk of his technology career in retail with a focus on Commerce, Infrastructure and large scale applications development. 

Mr. McCorey has 3 children, Bill III, Lauren, Drew and 4 grandchildren. He is an avid supporter in local and national efforts for children. Bill serves on the board for UCP of Central Florida and recently completed his board term for Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. Bill formed a fund raising effort for Fanconi Anemia which has resulted in over $200,000 raised for research. Mr. McCorey has completed 40 marathons, including 15 straight Boston Marathons. 

As noted whether it is work, play or giving back to the community, Bill sets challenging goals and delivers results. He is also is an accomplished speaker who frequently speaks on the power of teams and is working on a book, titled “Who do you want on your rope team”.
