Sean Lennon is the Chief Information Officer of Medtronic where he leads the development and execution of global strategies that help Medtronic fully leverage its scale and harness the power of information and technology to support global growth and operational efficiency.

Lennon brings more than 30 years of experience and a demonstrated capability to lead large IT organizations in a CIO role within healthcare. He was most recently CIO and Chief Digital Officer at global pharmaceutical company Allergan, where he successfully directed activities to enable scale, drive value, increase operating efficiencies, and develop and execute strategies across systems, tools, and resources. While there, he led the successful consolidation of numerous ERP systems into a single-instance SAP platform and helped establish the company’s cross-functional digital leadership council focused on driving opportunities to help differentiate Allergan in the marketplace.

He has previously held senior leadership positions in several pharmaceutical companies such as Watson/Actavis, Novartis, and Schering-Plough. In each of these roles, Sean established IT as a critical enabler to business performance and growth through the application of data, insights and technology to optimize operations and deliver new value to customers.

Lennon has been recognized for his leadership, as he was named “CIO of 2015” by the New Jersey Tech Council, and most recently. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and business management from St. John’s University in New York.
