With over 15 years of marketing and digital transformation experience, Marie Gulin-Merle became the Chief Marketing Officer of Calvin Klein in May 2018 and serves as the global brand and marketing architect.

Ms. Gulin-Merle is charged with further expanding the brand’s voice and global marketing platforms and strategically driving consumer engagement to position the business for long-term growth.

More recently, Ms Gulin-Merle served as the Chief Marketing Officer for L'Oréal USA since 2014, where she successfully transformed the company’s marketing functions and reinforced its industry leadership, particularly in the areas of digital innovation, consumer and market intelligence, media investment and data-driven marketing. She ushered in a number of firsts for L’Oreal - first digital upskilling curriculum for marketers, first data capabilities, first in-house content studio, and first-to market partnerships with major platforms and publishers.

Prior to her role as CMO, Ms. Gulin-Merle worked in ascending marketing and communications positions within L'Oréal, including serving as the Global Head of Integrated Marketing Communications at the brand’s headquarters in Paris from 2010 to 2014, where she reinvented many brand programs across 60 countries and 8 regions and also launched the industry-awarded app, Makeup Genius.

Ms. Gulin-Merle’s achievements have been recognized by numerous organizations and most recently was hailed as a “Power Player in Marketing and Advertising” by Ad Age in November 2017. She was included in WWD’s “10 Most In-Demand Execs in Digital Beauty, Fashion and E-Commerce” list in 2016; was featured in Ad Age's “40 Under 40” list; and made Business Insider’s “Most Innovative CMOs in the World” list in 2016 and 2017.
