Laura Wilt is the System Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Ochsner Health System. Wilt joined Ochsner in 2013 as the AVP of Clinical Systems, and was promoted to the Chief Information Officer in 2016. Prior to that, she worked for Epic, based out of Verona, Wisconsin, on the Implementation Services team.
In her role, Wilt leads the technology, clinical & corporate applications, cyber security, and analytics teams. In her Clinical Systems role, Wilt led the team that implemented, scaled and is optimizing Epic and over 100 departmental systems for both Ochsner Health System and the Ochsner Health Network. To date, all Ochsner hospitals have achieved HIMSS Level 7 designation, the HIMSS Davies Award in 2018 and Ochsner Health System received the CHIME/AHA Transformational Leadership Award in 2015.
Wilt earned both her undergraduate and Master’s of Business Administration from Tulane University. She is a member of CHIME, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and is a Certified Healthcare CIO.
