Larry Freed is Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Overhead Door Corporation, a leading manufacturer of doors and openers for residential, commercial, industrial and transportation applications. The company, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, has five divisions: Access Systems Division (ASD), which features the Overhead Door and Wayne-Dalton brands; The Genie® Company, manufacturer of remote-controlled garage door opening systems; Horton Automatics, a manufacturer of automatic entrance systems; TODCO, the largest producer of truck doors for the transportation industry and Creative Door Services, Western Canada’s leader in providing door products and services to the residential, commercial and industrial markets.

Mr. Freed began his career with U.S. Can Corporation, an international general line, plastics and specialty packaging manufacturer, where he held various positions in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and then Information Technology. Mr. Freed became Director of Business Solutions with Pulte Homes, one of America’s largest home building companies with operations across the United States. Larry then went onto serve as Vice President and CIO for Atrium Companies, Inc., the largest manufacturer of residential vinyl and aluminum windows and patio doors in North America. Larry truly found his niche as a specialist in Information Technologies for US Manufacturing Corporations where his Engineering roots serve him well in understanding business needs. Larry’s significant background in building products is now being used in his latest role with Overhead Door Corporation where he is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology, including strategy, enterprise applications, infrastructure, and service delivery.

Mr. Freed holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.
