In his role as senior vice president and chief information officer for Sharp HealthCare, Ken Lawonn is responsible for leading information technology functions across all Sharp entities. He is also responsible for Sharp's enterprise analytics and cybersecurity functions. Working with his IT team and key customers, Lawonn works to maintain and further Sharp's implementation of advanced technologies to support the transformation of health care.

Lawonn joined the Sharp team in February 2014, and has more than 30 years of experience in health care technology leadership. Prior to joining Sharp, Lawonn served as the senior vice president for strategy and technology at Alegent Creighton Health in Omaha, Nebraska. Under his leadership, Alegent was recognized as a leader in the deployment of technology to support integrated clinical care. Lawonn also served as the vice president and chief information officer for Banner Health in Fargo, North Dakota.

Lawonn received his bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota, and an MBA from the University of Nebraska. He serves on the board of San Diego Health Connect.
