Akash was named Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer when he joined Wesco in November 2020. He leads the Information Technology and Digital organizations, driving Wesco’s digital transformation. Prior to Wesco, Akash served as CIO and CDO at McDermott and held various technology leadership roles at Baker Hughes, GE Energy, and GE Healthcare.
Akash holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with research focused on Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of Pune, India, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.
He is a qualified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Master Lean Leader. Akash is an active community leader involved in providing leadership across various global philanthropic organizations in India and the U.S.
