Now based in Nairobi, Kenya, Nancy is the Chief of Digital Strategy for the UN's Environment Programme where she is working to ensure that communications colleagues are working at the cutting edge of associated industry practices, techniques, technologies, and approaches. She manages the social media, web and news/media teams.

Nancy was the first "Head of Social Media" for the United Nations in the Department of Global Communications, a post that pulled together all areas of her expertise: strategic communications, digital diplomacy and information management.

At the UN, she managed a 20+-person diverse and multilingual team which implements and carries out the UN System’s social media activities which includes: content production for accounts with 30+ million fans and followers, analytics, reporting, training, strategy and policy drafting and governance.
