Over the past 24+ years, William Velez has become known as a technology executive who “speaks human.” He effectively collaborates with business peers and leverages IT to provide transformational leadership. He has a history of driving revenue success. William currently oversees information technology strategy and operations at Harvard Maintenance, with a focus on business digital transformation.

Currently, William oversees Harvard Maintenance information technology strategy and operations across the company, with a focus on business digital transformation. Previously, as CIO of Intermex Wire Transfer, a leading money transfer/electronic payment solutions company, he directed wide-reaching technology strategies and initiatives. William was involved in business operations, digital business, and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance. William has also been CIO and VP at Abarca Health, a provider of healthcare IT, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and clinical solutions, where he drove the technology strategy for the company as well as its Medicare Part D affiliate.

William's earlier technology leadership experience spanned Fortune 500, public, and private companies, in industries such as financial services, healthcare and insurance. In each organization, he improved efficiencies, reduced costs, and optimized resources.

With hands-on corporate experience in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and various Latin American countries, along with a master’s degree in International Studies, William is trilingual in English, Spanish, and Portuguese (in addition to proficiency in French). This globally diverse background allows me to seamlessly transition between cultures and effectively lead multinational teams.
