Ronald “Ron” S. Chandler is the Chief Information Officer at Harvard Business School (HBS). Ron oversees a diverse group of IT professionals committed to helping advance the teaching, learning, research and administration mission of HBS.

Ron works collaboratively with HBS leadership to set and execute the IT strategy for the school. Their priority is to help digitally transform Harvard Business School by providing easy-to-use, sustainable tools and services.

Prior to joining HBS, Ron was Chief Information Officer at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He was the founding Managing Principal of NM Advisors, a firm that provides technology strategy and change management leadership for senior executives across many industries. Ron was previously the SVP, Chief Strategy Officer and CIO at Irwin Union Bank, a Principal at PwC, Senior Manager at Accenture and a Design Engineer for the F-16 fighter aircraft at General Dynamics Corporation.

Ron is an Independent Director of The Savings Bank Mutual Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts (SBLI). He is also an active Advisory Board member of WGBH in Boston and Board Chairman of The National Advisory Council on Cybersecurity. He has been recognized as a Computerworld Magazine’s Top 100 CIOs, a finalist in Evanta’s Global CIO Top 10 Breakaway leaders and as one of the Big Ten Most Influential People in Technology and Learning magazine.

He graduated from the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School, received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
