Akash has over 20 years of experience in organizational transformation, driving innovation across industries, enabling new multi-billion revenue generating business lines.
Akash joined WESCO in November 2020, spearheading a multi-year transformation journey, leading the Information Technology/Digital organizations.
Previously, Akash led business transformation at McDermott as the CIO/CDO of the Global Information Technology and Digital organizations. Before joining McDermott, he was the Senior Director of Global Product Lines and Regional P&Ls at Baker Hughes.
Akash served in a variety of progressive leadership roles at GE Healthcare and Power & Water divisions, beginning his career as an Enterprise Resource Planning business consultant and a technology leader in the late 1990s.
He has been featured in major publications including Forbes, Gartner, ZDNet, CIO.com, Energy CIO Insights and Computer Weekly.
Accolades include three-time consecutive winner of the Top CIO 100, 2019 CIO of the Year (Oracle), and 2020 Nation’s Top 50 Technology Leaders (National Diversity Council).
Akash is an active global philanthropist.

Akash holds a BS in Engineering (University of Pune, India), and an MBA (University of Wisconsin). He is a qualified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Master Lean Leader.
