Lisa Besserman, Founder of Startup Buenos Aires, has been named as Business Insider’s “Top 100 Most Influential Women in Tech” as well as the “Business Innovator of Latin America” by the Council of the Americas.
Lisa serves as the Head of CS and Emerging Technology AI Accelerator at JPMorgan Chase, where she spearheads a cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) team dedicated to pioneering technological advancements.
In her role, she also oversees an incubator designed to fast-track the integration and adoption of emerging technologies. Lisa's leadership extends to fostering strategic partnerships with startups and innovative vendors, driving collaboration to accelerate technology innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions that align with the company's strategic vision.
She previously served as the Head of Innovation and Product Strategy across JPMorgan Chase operations.
Prior to her time at JPMC, she was the Managing Director at Expa VC, a $350M venture fund and startup studio investing in pre-seed to series A startups.
Previously, Lisa served as the Head of Program at Indeed’s Corporate Incubator, the product innovation arm of the $8B company. In this dynamic role, Lisa led operations, team management, strategy, and program development.
Lisa was the Founder and CEO of Startup Buenos Aires (acquired), an accelerator program aimed to inspire, connect and support startups and entrepreneurs throughout Latin America.
She is an active participant in the global startup and social impact community -- a Google, Visa, BBVA & The Next Web Mentor, Summit Speaker, U.S Department of State Spotlight Entrepreneur and Judge for various startup competitions around the world.
Lisa has been featured by NBC, Bloomberg TV, Reuters, Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, and CNN.
She has guest lectured on entrepreneurship and innovation to prominent universities such as NYU, MIT, Northwestern, Berkeley, and University of Pennsylvania.
