CR Pulse
The revenue platform software sector has seen significant consolidation in the past year, and the sector is continuing to shift from isolated point solutions to integrated, end-to-end revenue operating systems. Historically fragmented across separate tools for sales engagement, conversation intelligence, and pipeline forecasting, the market is unifying as enterprises demand a single, trustworthy source of truth for their data.
Adobe's second quarter results were well ahead of estimates as it continues to see demand for its AI tools. The company also raised its outlook.
The company reported second quarter earnings of $4.25 a share on revenue of $6.62 billion, up 13% from a year ago. Non-GAAP earnings were $5.96 a share.
Wall Street was looking for non-GAAP earnings of $5.81 a share on revenue of $6.45 billion.

Anthropic's Claude Mythos has sparked plenty of headlines, but what does it actually mean for enterprise security teams?
Constellation Research analyst Chirag Mehta breaks down what Mythos signals about where security work is heading. His argument: most organizations don't have a findings problem; they have a speed-to-fix problem. The real challenge comes after a vulnerability is discovered: validating its existence, understanding whether it can be exploited, engineering a safe fix, and shipping it before risk compounds.

Anthropic announced Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 yesterday. Fable 5 is Anthropic’s broadly available Mythos-class model, released with stronger safeguards for general use. Mythos 5 is the same underlying model with some safeguards lifted for selected cyberdefenders and infrastructure providers through a trusted access program.

Oracle reported better-than-expected fourth quarter results, delivered 47% in cloud revenue growth compared to a year ago and 93% growth in infrastructure as a service.
The catch is that Oracle's record revenue growth is coming at a steep cost. The company said "free cash flow was negative $23.7 billion for fiscal year 2026 as Oracle continued to execute on investments to support the growth of its cloud infrastructure business."

Big Idea
Agentic security operations centers (SOCs) are emerging as a response to a growing mismatch between how security incidents unfold and how security operations teams are organized. Modern attacks routinely move across identities, endpoints, networks, cloud environments, data systems, and AI-enabled services. Most SOCs, however, remain structured around domain-specific tools, workflows, and operational silos.
Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 with the former being a Mythos-class model with safeguards for cybersecurity. Based on the benchmarks, Claude Fable 5 is a nice leap in capability, but it'll cost you since it's double the price of Claude Opus 4.8.
Here's a look at what you need to know.

OpenAI said it filed confidentially for an IPO in a fast follow to Anthropic's filing.
In a statement, OpenAI said:
"We recently submitted a confidential S-1. We expect it to leak so we’re just announcing it. We have not decided on timing yet; it may be a while because there are things we want to do that are likely easier as a private company. But it’s a complicated set of tradeoffs and this gives us the option to go public sooner if that ends up being best."

Pegasystems outlined advances in its Pega Infinity platform and took aim at runaway token costs by charging a single flat price for outcome no matter how much Pega AI is used.
Although Pegasystems pricing model is uniquely positioned for more outcome-based pricing, the news from Pegaworld, Pegasystems annual conference, is likely to be the beginning of enterprise software vendors looking to address token costs. As AI agents proliferate, you're being increasingly charged for reasoning that starts from scratch for each query. The costs of this overthinking add up.

The AI hype cycle is in full swing, and all vendors across the stack are trying to get a slice of the AI budget. Constellation saw AI budgets funded from critical budgets, such as cybersecurity, in 2024 and 2025. Given the speed and consequences of AI vendor selections, CxOs must quickly discern which AI technology vendors are viable, which rely on marketing and hype to hide a lack of results in delivering AI technology, and which are buying time until they have delivered on an AI approach.
