Salesforce launches Agentforce Operations

Salesforce launched Agentforce Operations, a platform that aims to streamline back-office processes via AI agents.

The company's launch of Agentforce Operations in general availability highlights how Salesforce is broadening its reach beyond its core CRM. With Agentforce Operations, Salesforce is looking to expand across multiple workflows and processes across industries.

Salesforce said Agentforce Operations looks to go beyond workflow automation by incorporating AI and process automation without replacing systems already in place.

According to Salesforce, Agentforce Operations can take manual back-office processes and coordinate them, verifying data and clearing up compliance. Agentforce Operations, which is based on technology from the acquisition of Regrello last year, rides along with Salesforce's recent the company's launch of Headless 360.

Salesforce added that Agentforce Operations includes AI agents that move beyond work orchestration to optimize processes end to end. Salesforce's Agentforce Operations includes:

  • Specialized Agents that extract data from complex documents, run computations, update credit models and identify compliance gaps.
  • Tools that connect processes in the background and use agents to keep task moving and bring them to work surfaces such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.
  • Models that combine LLM reasoning with business rules and unstructured data.
  • Blueprints based on unstructured process documents for AI agents to use. Salesforce also has 30 out-of-the-box blueprints for common processes.
  • Agents that proactively flag bottlenecks and audit trails to continuously improve. Enterprises can also change processes with plain language updates.
