Salesforce reported better-than-expected second quarter results and raised its outlook ahead of its August price increases.
The company reported second quarter earnings of $1.28 a share on revenue of $8.6 billion, up 11% from a year ago. Non-GAAP earnings in the quarter were $2.12 a share. Wall Street expected Salesforce to report non-GAAP earnings of $1.90 a share on revenue of $8.53 billion.

Hewlett Packard enterprise saw strong demand in the third quarter for its intelligent edge products and HPE Greenlake.
The company said HPE Greenlake ARR was up 48% in the third quarter compared to a year ago and intelligent edge, also known as HPE Aruba, saw revenue surge 50%.
HP reported a mixed third quarter with sales lower than expected. CEO Enrique Lores said, "the external environment has not improved as quickly as anticipated, and we are moderating our expectations as a result."
The company reported third quarter revenue of $13.2 billion, down 10% from a year ago. HP reported earnings of 76 cents a share with non-GAAP earnings of 86 cents a share.

There's generative AI money to be made--at least if you're selling the GPUs that power the compute. Nvidia posted another ridiculous quarter and delivered an outlook that looks like a misprint.
Nvidia established itself as an AI growth darling last quarter. The second quarter will only bolster that position. The company reported second quarter revenue of $13.51 billion, up 101% from a year ago. Earnings were $2.48 a share and non-GAAP second quarter earnings were $2.70 a share.
Snowflake's second quarter results were better than expected as the company grew its customer base 25%. The company ended the quarter with 402 customers generating more than $1 million in revenue.
Snowflake reported a second quarter net loss of $226.87 million, or 69 cents a share, on revenue of $674 million. The company reported non-GAAP earnings of 22 cents a share. Wall Street was expecting Snowflake to report non-GAAP second quarter earnings of 10 cents a share on revenue of $662.28 million.
