CrowdStrike buys Fiddler AI, Dreadnode; launches AI Kill Switch
CrowdStrike said it has acquired Fiddler AI, an agent observability platform, and Dreadnode, an automated testing company, and launched a new AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian.
According to CrowdStrike, Fidder AI will bring pre-deployment evaluation and continuous agent explainability and behavior monitoring to its Falcon platform. Fiddler AI will be sold as part of the Falcon Observe offering that will be generally available later this fiscal year.
George Kurtz, CEO of CrowdStrike, said: “Every company is deploying agents and asking the same thing: what are agents actually doing? When a regulator or your board asks what an agent did, saying ‘the model did it’ is not an answer. Fiddler is the flight recorder for every agent: the observability to explain exactly what an agent did and why."
The Dreadnode purchase adds automated AI security testing and be part of CrowdStrike's AI Detection and Response portfolio.
CrowdStrike's two deals highlight how cybersecurity vendors are moving quickly to secure AI agents.
To that end, CrowdStrike also announced an AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian that will provide controls over AI agents. If an agent breaks its intended behavior, it can be terminated where it runs, cut off from network access and blocked from running again.
