Coca-Cola said its Fairlife unit was hit with a ransomware attack that sidelined its production systems.

In a statement, Coca-Cola said it identified an unauthorized third party accessed its systems. The company said:

"After detecting the issue, the company promptly activated its incident response and business continuity protocols. The company’s investigation and assessment of the impact of the incident is ongoing, with the assistance of outside advisors and cybersecurity experts. The company has also notified law enforcement. The full scope, nature and impacts of the incident are not yet known."

The company said production and quality haven't been impacted, but Fairlife operations are suspended. Coca-Cola said it is investigating and working toward restoring systems.

On its first quarter earnings call, Coca-Cola noted that it was working to ramp production of Fairlife to meet demand.
