Executive Summary
SAP is the market leader for business applications. In the current era of business best-practice uncertainty, enterprises need to be able to extend these applications, integrate them with other solutions, and sometimes even build separate applications that run on SAP’s platform and/or integrate with SAP products. Vendors also include stand-alone applications, but have substantial market and mind share among CxOs making decisions about SAP strategy and applications.
To be included in this Constellation Shortlist, vendors must be dedicated to the no-code/low-code space, offer a cloud-based solution, and support the key EAP use cases of extend, integrate, and build. The extend use case refers to the ability to extend SAP applications on various levels. The integrated use case requires that the included vendor provide out-of-the-box integration with SAP. And finally, the build use case refers to the ability to build stand-alone capabilities that can coexist with SAP-shipped or other custom applications. In addition to meeting several other clerical shortlist criteria listed below, these vendors are fully dedicated to making business users more productive, putting them in charge of their automation destiny.
Throughout the last years, AI has been a key trigger to build new application, and the vendors of this shortlist have all added AI capabilities to their portfolio.
