Accenture Federal Services, Google Public Sector roll out Gemini Launchpads
Accenture Federal Services, a unit of Accenture, and Google Public Sector, launched Gemini Launchpads to help federal deploy and scale AI agents quickly.
The effort, announced ahead of Google Public Sector Summit 2026 in Washington DC, is another installment of the collaboration between Google and Accenture.
Accenture recently launched a Gemini Enterprise Business Group as part of its Google practice.
Under the public sector partnership, Accenture will provide federal agencies a set of forward deployed engineers (FDEs) to help them scale enterprise AI agents. Gemini Launchpads will feature embedded FDEs working with agencies to deliver outcome-based agents built on Gemini and integrate them into government systems and workflows.
Gemini launchpad enables agencies to do the following:
- Centrally manage Gemini agents and their connections to datasets.
- Prioritize agent use cases to deploy quickly.
- Track performance and measure returns over time.
- A set of pre-built agents to work across human resources, finance and supply chain.
- Training for the federal workforce.
Karen Dahut, CEO of Google Public Sector, said the goal of the Accenture partnership is to move governments "beyond incremental modernization" and equip federal agencies to deploy Gemini "to navigate complex systems, accelerate critical decisions, and deliver at the speed of mission."
Accenture CEO Ron Ash said the company's FDEs will help "scale value" and deploy "these purpose-built agents to transform work at the heart of government operations."
Currently, Accenture Federal Services is training its initial cohort of Google Cloud-skilled FDEs. Accenture will have about 1,000 FDEs within the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group and they will work with Accenture Federal experts to deploy AI agents.
During Accenture's investor day last week, Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said Accenture was its global partner of the year. "Accenture engineers work directly inside customer environments, alongside our Google DeepMind and cloud engineering teams. They'll build agentic solutions tailored to how specific industries operate, including marketing, cybersecurity, AI and data, contact centers and sovereign programs," said Kurian.
