Unit4 acquires Napta to expand into resource, skills management
Unit4 said it will acquire Napta, a Paris-based resource management and skills intelligence platform for services firms. Napta complements Unit4's ERP, financial and human capital management applications.
According to Unit4, Napta will continue to operate under its existing leadership and business model. The combined company will be able to cover the professional services lifecycle.
Terms weren't disclosed.
Unit4's broader strategy is to focus on professional and business services firms, public sector, non-profits and education.
Napta has more than 100 customers including many that are already using Unit4.
Going forward, Unit4 outlined the following plan.
- Unit4 said Napta will continue to be led by CEO Arnaud Caldichoury.
- Napta's skills and resource capacity data will be integrated with Unit4's project, financial and people data.
- Napta will continue to support customers running any ERP or professional services automation software.

Caldichoury said Unit4's continued investment will give the company expand globally.
Unit4 said it is planning to double the size of the company by 2030 and expand its reach into various industries. The company is also migrating its customer base to the cloud.
