Bio
Earl Newsome was appointed vice president and chief information officer of Praxair, Inc. in 2016. He is responsible for global information technology services.
Most recently, Newsome served as CIO and vice president of Digital for TE Connectivity, a global manufacturer of connectivity and sensor solutions, where he built and optimized a high-performing IT organization across the company’s diverse business units and functions.
Prior to his role with TE Connectivity, Newsome developed and managed a long-term IT Shared Services strategy for the Estee Lauder Companies, which included a global SAP deployment and the creation of the company’s Global Innovation Lab. He was also a Partner at Deloitte & Touche and held senior management positions at Bowne & Company and Owens-Illinois.
Newsome earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy, West Point, where he remains involved as part of the West Point Mentor Program.
