Ronald den Elzen is currently Chief Digital & Technology Officer for the HEINEKEN Company. As member of the Executive Committee he is responsible to accelerate the “end-to-end” digitization of the HEINEKEN company.

This digital transformation reaches from new consumer engagement models, to large scale eCommerce platforms (over €9B of eB2B sales) and from Manufacturing (over 3,500 machines & 20,000 operators connected with IoT) to building a modern Digital Backbone and unlocking the value of AI.
People, change, new capabilities, adoption and upskilling are an essential part of this exciting transformation.

Since Ronald graduated from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, he has lived and worked in 6 countries has collected true end-to-end experience across many functional areas across the world. He held roles such as Finance Director (CFO) for HEINEKEN in The Netherlands and in the UK, Sales & Distribution SVP for The Netherlands, Managing Director in Portugal and in the USA and led the largest post-merger integration for HEINEKEN.
This breadth of experience in Finance, Sales, Distribution and Supply Chain has made him a holistic leader and a seasoned executive.

During his career, Ronald has proven to be a leader that can shape the future and implement lasting and impactful change, whilst taking the organisation along on the journey.

After living abroad for over a decade, Ronald has returned to The Netherlands where he lives with his wife and three kids.
