Mr. Richard Ling is a serial entrepreneur and venture capitalist with over 25 years of experience founding, scaling, and investing in technology companies, having served as a Founder, CTO, CEO, and venture capitalist, and as a board member or Chairman of nearly two dozen companies. He was most recently a Managing Partner at Palm Venture Studios and previously a Founding General Partner at Rembrandt Venture Partners, where he helped raise over $300 million across three funds and invested in more than 40 companies, resulting in numerous successful exits and IPOs. As an entrepreneur, he founded three venture-backed technology companies—ImpulseBuy Networks, AlterEgo, and MetaLincs—all of which were acquired by public companies, collectively generating nearly $350 million in enterprise value. Mr. Ling has also been an active angel investor in over 20 companies, including Intuitive Surgical, LiveRamp, ComScore, UserTesting, and Good Technology. He holds multiple patents, has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and on Business Today, and earned a B.S. in Engineering from UC Berkeley with a focus on control systems and robotics.
