Kristine Sheu

Kristine Sheu serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Cathay General Bancorp and Cathay Bank, in Southern California. Since joining the organization in 2010, she has led the development and execution of enterprise technology strategy, as well as the delivery of secure, cost-effective platforms and services that align with business objectives and enhance operational resilience.

She oversees enterprise technology operations, which include infrastructure, core systems, telecommunications, and end-user services. Leading a department of 40 professionals, she collaborates closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize investments, modernize capabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Kristine’s experience includes large-scale transformations, bank mergers and system conversions, disaster recovery planning, vendor and contract management, and IT financial governance. Prior to Cathay Bank, she held various technology and client service positions in the financial services sector at FIS, Bank of America, and Union Bank.

Recognized for her leadership, Kristine was named a 2023 B2B Visionary Leader in Banking & Finance by the Los Angeles Times and currently serves on the Governing Body of Gartner’s C-Level Communities.
