Dr. Soma Venkat inspires innovation, sets Enterprise Technology Strategy, and enables execution across Technology, Digital, Data, Analytics, AI, and Cybersecurity at Cooper Standard, where he serves as SVP, Chief Information Technology Officer & AI Officer. With 25+ years of global technology and transformation experience, he is responsible for modernizing enterprise platforms and scaling responsible AI to drive productivity, operational excellence, and business impact.

Dr. Venkat leads a highly diverse workforce spanning four continents, accelerating business value through pragmatic and responsible digital and AI investments. He serves on the board of Liveline Technologies, a Cooper Standard startup leveraging AI/ML and Industrial IoT to transform manufacturing. He also serves as the Managing Director for Cooper Standard Services India Limited.

He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Windsor and is a frequent invited speaker at industry and leadership forums. Recognized for thought leadership in AI, including research and publications, Dr. Venkat is based in the Metro Detroit / Ann Arbor area and is passionate about mentoring students and supporting STEM education initiatives.
