Overview
Digibee is an integration platform-as-a-service vendor that closed a $60m Series B round on June 7, 2023, bringing total funding raised to nearly $100m. Digibee serves organizations frustrated with their legacy integration infrastructure and the high costs and lack of flexibility inherent in those tools. The technology is cloud native, low code, fully recyclable and discoverable — connecting applications, processes and people for faster time to market without a major investment. Digibee is the preferred iPaaS solution for 250-plus corporate customers including Assai, B3, Barkley, Bauducco, GoPro, Oobe, Payless, and others.

The Problem
Organizations have a higher priority than ever to modernize and optimize their technology stacks to scale and stay competitive and Bauducco was no exception, coming to Digibee with a challenge - modernize multiple legacy systems and their ERP by migrating off legacy to SAP S4/HANA as fast and efficiently as possible. The ERP migration was quoted to take 18 months from Accenture, but Bauducco needed to be off in 14 - so that wouldn’t work. They needed to modernize faster while experiencing little disruptions to business operations. The integrations with all their legacy technologies were one of the biggest obstacles to the migration, so they attempted to find another solution for the implementation, leading them to Digibee’s iPasS.
The Solution
Digibee’s modern integration platform proved it would drastically speed up Bauducco’s SAP S4/Hana migration timeline by simplifying the integrations involved and, although Baducco had an iPaaS in place at the time–MuleSoft–the team of equipped architects did not have the bandwidth or enough time to execute all of the complex integrations involved with their 14 legacy systems and 25 year old ERP. Digibee proved it could not only modernize Bauducco’s integration infrastructure off legacy, on premises architecture to the cloud with minimal risk, but also optimize their business processes. Modernizing with Digibee would not only improve their time to market for the ERP migration, but would result in reduced manual inputs and increased accuracy for all data involved.
The results
Digibee’s iPasS delivered ahead of schedule, well within budget, and with zero disruptions to the business on its path towards modernization. It created a frictionless implementation for SAP S4/Hana in a few key ways:
-
-
- ERPs running in parallel execution eliminated double inputs. Digibee’s iPasS eliminated the need to input data in production and test environments to check for accuracy of results. Datasets were synced in real-time until the legacy ERP was ready for sunset.
- Able to execute in separate phases - not everything was required to happen at once in a “big bang” approach. Because of the customization with Bauducco’s WMS, this was important since it would’ve required a lot of custom code for SAP, and resulted in a delayed implementation timeline.
- All systems were integrated seamlessly, including satellite systems and legacy

Metrics
Time: Before Digibee, Bauducco was projected to have this project complete in 12 months. Having it delivered four months ahead of schedule allowed plenty of time for testing and significantly reduced risk. The desired project timeline was reduced by four months from 12 to 8 - cutting the timeline Accenture had quoted in half. Digibee’s low code integration and modern approach saved millions by accelerating SAP integration delivery and reducing total SAP Implementation time by 30%.
Cost: By closing the project earlier, Bauducco saved $2M in project expenses, not including business efficiency costs post deployment, resulting in a 40% cost savings on the project budget.
Risk: Zero downtime for operations occurred during the implementation. All data was updated and ran in parallel. The modern architecture provided integrated transaction monitoring, resulting in easy troubleshooting in case of errors and drastically minimized risk. Delivering the project ahead of schedule also allowed further testing to in turn, further mitigate risk.

Disruptive Factor
This project changed the integration landscape for Bauducco. Digibee’s low-code approach, reusability, and modern architecture reduced the project timeline and is being used to accelerate other digital projects. It was the start of a continued partnership and further modernization of their integration architecture. Today, not only has Digibee replaced Mulesoft as the organization’s iPaaS for integration needs - but adoption and usage of Digibee’s platform has consistently grown year over year.
Shining Moment
In efforts to further modernize and optimize business operations, Digibee executed the integrations for a new ecommerce platform in 4 weeks, just in time for a Christmas deadline, resulting in a 38% increase in eCommerce revenue for Bauducco.
"With Digibee we have reduced both the time and the cost of our integration process by 30%. In addition, we have greatly simplified the landscape of our SAP S/4 HANA program and legacy systems. "
