The Problem

At Intel, we discovered approximately 7 minutes were wasted at the start of our meetings because of connectivity challenges. Compatibility issues, complicated remote A/V connections and misplaced or the wrong dongles or cables were severely impacting our productivity. Like many of today’s businesses, we needed an easier way to make our meetings smarter and more productive. We also needed something that could integrate old and new technologies together in one easy-to-use experience. 

The Solution

Our engineers were frustrated with the inefficiency of meetings given the complexity involved with starting a meeting.  The ability to easily connect to a meeting was a consistent problem. Wrong adapters, misplaced dongles or cables were the main problem that was causing a loss in productivity and collaboration. To address this, our engineers developed a solution that created an easy way to connect wirelessly from anywhere and included the collaboration capabilities to share content seamlessly. We saw an uptick in meeting efficiency immediately as a result. It also works with our existing conference room technology making the implementation process easy for our IT department. The solution, Intel® Unite™ is now available to businesses.

Our employees no longer have to worry about having the right equipment to connect to meetings and collaborate. With Intel® Unite™, we cut the average meeting-time loss of 7 minutes by 70%. 

Metrics

It addressed a clear pain point and the adoption curve is high. 97 percent of our internal survey respondents are using the solution. This high usage is coupled with high satisfaction on the experience. 74 percent of survey respondents gave Intel® Unite™ a high satisfaction rating. Intel is on track to achieve our goal to improve productivity by a 112,000 hours based on usage. Additionally, Customers are already seeing an average 70 percent faster start to meetings
