The Problem

The Solution

The industry of HR vendors has traditionally been very "closed". Compared to other professional verticals – where open platforms and ecosystems are more common – HR has not yet embraced the open approach. At Gild we want to change that. To do that, we built an architecture that was open by design and therefore decided to use the micro-service architecture paradigm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microservices). This paradigm is essentially a very complex system (like an end-to-end hiring platform) composed of small and independent components.
