Keerthika M. Subramanian is a Senior Capital Markets Associate at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. in Boston, and as of Fall 2019, a visiting clinical lecturer at Yale Law School where she will teach “Biotechnology Capital Markets.”  She previously practiced corporate and securities law in both New York City and Silicon Valley and is a member of the State Bars of California, Massachusetts and New York.

She is a global thought leader on data privacy and cybersecurity.  Along with C-level executives of Fortune 500 companies, she is a founding member of the IEEE Fair Trade Data Initiative, the first effort of its kind worldwide to develop a set of global standards governing the fair trade of inherent human and personal data.  She is also a Fellow at Hu.manity.co, a data privacy startup. In June 2019, she led the transatlantic steering committee in the successful planning and execution of “Disruptive Dilemmas: Cyber Crisis Simulation Exercise,” the largest side event at the GLOBSEC 2019 Bratislava Forum, a top 5 international security conference worldwide. The groundbreaking event was co-sponsored by, among others, NATO, Global Cyber Alliance and the European Cyber Research Resilience Network. She is a 2017-2018 German Marshall Memorial Fellow.

She is a 2011 graduate of Yale Law School and a 2007 graduate of Emory, which she graduated from in three years and attended on a merit scholarship as a member of the Emory Scholars Program.

Prior to founding Avion in 2016, Kristen spent several years working in international business consulting and capital markets, before moving into private equity, where she built two global private equity funds in the real estate and healthcare spaces.  Her frequent travels overseas to present to investors and business executives, led her to serve as an invited speaker and panelist at industry events on the topics of international marketing, business development, foreign investment, and capital raising. 
 
A leader in her local community, Kristen is the Chair of the Board of Directors of a language-immersion primary school. She was also tapped to receive the prestigious Marshall Memorial Fellowship through the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMFUS), which she completed in 2018.  Kristen is a current Advisor and Acceleration Committee Member of Fintech4Good, as well as a Fellow for Hu-Manity.org.  She is also a founding committee member and current co-chair of a women on corporate boards training initiative backed by GMFUS.

Since 2017, Dr. Bray has served as Executive Director for the People-Centered Internet coalition co-founded by Vint Cerf and focused on providing support and expertise for community-focused projects that measurably improve people’s lives using the Internet.
