Hyatt Regency and TCS Cincinnati Data Center, Cincinnati, OH
May 21-22, 2014

TCS Innovation Forum is a premier annual event held in the UK, USA and Asia. In it's tenth year, TCS Innovation Forum has received a resounding response and served as a good brainstorming ground among a diverse group of collaborators from academia, industry, venture capitalists and emerging technology companies.

TCS Innovation Forum 2014 is an exclusive by-invitation-only gathering which brings together senior technology executives, innovation practitioners, researchers from renowned institutions, and the TCS Co-Innovation Network (COIN™) partners to discuss new age technologies.

The featured tracks and invited talks are in an interactive format and provide an opportunity to learn best practices and share experiences related to emerging technologies and innovative processes.

Chaired by K. Ananth Krishnan, CTO, TCS, this year’s event will provide thought leadership on top innovation topics, including: Business Development Operations, Internet of Things, and Prescriptive Analytics & Automated Planning; especially in the emerging technologies space. It will also focus on new age innovations in software, systems and application and sciences.

Enterprise Solutions

The mega-trends of digitization have arrived. Cloud computing, mobile, big data and to some extent social offer enterprises an unprecedented opportunity to transform themselves. This digitization of business provides both cost optimization opportunities and business model transformation. For example, business processes can now be extended and managed over the entire extended supply chain rather than within the confines of the Enterprise’s own IT systems. New ways of engaging customers are emerging and while these offer exiting new possibilities, these also may bring unexpected competition into play. Agility and user experience are no longer a luxury. In fact those Enterprise IT systems that fail to leverage new technology trends and adapt based on data and achieve efficiencies of operation have a high likelihood of failure. Why? Organizations can no longer incur a “technology debt” on account of systems being inflexible. Hardwired processes and systems must be transformed to agile systems based on commodity building blocks with differentiation achieved through software – An Era of Digital Business has arrived for the Enterprise, where work finds the worker.

While this enterprise transformation has been visibly taking place in IT systems, a more significant and profound digitization has been taking place in the area of electronics. Specialized and complex electronic systems are being rapidly replaced by commodity computing devices with all significant functionality being realized in software. Complex plant automation systems are being transformed into a cyber-physical continuum where bits meet atoms. This integration of Information Technology with Operational Technology offers the promise of great simplification and efficiencies. Imagine a system that can sense inventories on a store-shelf, fill orders only for critical items and 3-D print the rest! Mass personalization at scale is among us and new business models will arise.
